Wraps are easy to make, healthy, flavorful and endlessly customizable. I used mung sprouts for the filling. They are an all-natural plant-based protein that is low in calories, low in fat and high in fiber. Mung sprouts can be eaten raw but for these wraps, they need to be cooked until soft. Their slightly sweet and nutty texture take on the flavor of whatever sauce and seasoning is used.

Happy 2017 and Hearty Buckwheat Muffins
Hello friends, I hope 2017 started off well for everyone!
I am finally home after an exhausting but exhilarating holiday in India. I got sick right after getting back and after a week of struggling with terrible flu and jetlag, I am now slowly getting back to normal. Since it’s the first post of this year, I think it’s apt to begin with a healthier one. These buckwheat muffins are delicious and substantial enough to be satisfying day-starters or a snack with a cup of coffee or tea .
Quick and Easy Savory French Toast
Savory french toast is one of the popular “desi” breakfast made in almost every indian home. It is relatively a simple recipe that even children can make it. The key to these savory delights is to ensure that the bread you use is firm so that it absorbs the egg mixture well without falling apart and pan is hot enough to cook the toast evenly without any sudden browning.

Panettone French Toast with Orange Yogurt Sauce
Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day and french toast has always been my quick and easy breakfast choice. Although, before coming to Canada I never had a french toast that was sweet, because my mom always made it savory and we had it with tomato and chilli sauce. I will share her recipe with you sometime next year. Today I have a sweet version to which I had slowly grown addicted. Panettone is a delicious sweet bread. I started making my own gluten free panettone from last year and I think it makes the best French toast that almost tastes like a dessert.
