Food is love for me and home cooked meals do wonders for my man. This does not restrict us from eating out but I love to cook and he loves my cooking. This helps to bring us together even more and for this reason I try creative ways of cooking healthy. That being said, I wanted to treat my husband with something simple, healthy yet yummy on his birthday. Since, he was working that day and had a meeting in the evening I planned to make a special lunch.

Eating Liquefy Spinach – Two Ways
We all know that leafy greens are good for us and that we should be eating more of them. But its hard to eat the required amount to get its actual benefits-unless you really want chewing the leaves like a cow. The best way I find to add more greens into my diet is to toss it in salads, add it to curries, frittatas, stews, wraps, smoothies and soups. I love spinach, its mild taste gives an edge over other greens and it blends really well with other flavors. It is great whether you eat it raw or cook in innumerable dishes.

Soothing Drink
From Last couple of weeks I was feeling sick….., not ill kind of sick but my tummy was upset. I felt heavy and full all the time even though I did not eat much. Initially I suspected eating gluten at someone’s house and thought to be ok in a day but I wasn’t. I tried drinking tea made with ginger, carom and fennel seeds for four days but even that didn’t ease my discomfort. My sister suggested a home remedy that worked for me and I am feeling great now.
