Protein packed and nutrient dense, this spinach quiche is simply delicious and a great way to eat more of this leafy green. It is baked in a Quinoa crust that is very easy to make and, tastes so much better than traditional flour crust.

Torta Caprese – The Italian Flourless Chocolate Cake
Caprese cake is a flourless chocolate cake with a signature crisp top, chewy meringue like edges and a perfect moist and soft inside. Made with almond flour, eggs, dark chocolate and butter, it is a traditional dessert from the island of Capri near Naples.
Caprese cake is excellent for a rich and energetic breakfast, and special occasions like birthdays, a family Sunday brunch, a romantic dinner or whenever you need a chocolate treat.
Leftover Salmon Kedgeree with Quick Mango Chutney
Kedgeree is a lovely dish that has a history dating back to the colonial era. It is believed to be based on the popular Indian dish called “Khichri”, which is a fragrant potpourri of lentils, rice and spices. The re-adapted and reinterpreted dish Kedgeree consists of rice, boiled eggs and fish, generally smoked haddock but other fish can be used. My version of Kedgeree with no sugar mango chutney is an easy and delicious way to use up leftover salmon creating a hearty meal the whole family will enjoy.

Vanilla Bean Crème Brulee
Since its February and love is in the air, I am sharing a recipe that is insanely delicious and perfect for Valentine’s day. It’s a Creme Brulee, a timeless classic consisting of a rich custard base topped with contrasting layer of hard caramel. The custard in this dessert has the advantage of being made ahead, then right before serving the top is caramelized using a kitchen blow torch (or alternately under broiler). It’s a perfect dessert for any special occasion, especially a romantic evening at home.
Happy Indulging!
Sicilian Cookies with egg free and sugar free option
On my recent trip to Italy I had a chance to eat a bunch of gluten free cookies. I particularly fell in love with the Sicilian cookies. They were crisp on the outside and dense and chewy on the inside. So of course, I had to come home and try to recreate it. I searched online and developed my recipe based on this and this. These cookies are naturally gluten-free, dairy-free and so delicious. I also experimented with egg and sugar free cookies, just in case someone with different dietary restrictions needed to try them. The result was soft with a texture of cake.
Quick and Easy Savory French Toast
Savory french toast is one of the popular “desi” breakfast made in almost every indian home. It is relatively a simple recipe that even children can make it. The key to these savory delights is to ensure that the bread you use is firm so that it absorbs the egg mixture well without falling apart and pan is hot enough to cook the toast evenly without any sudden browning.
