When my daughter was growing up sandwiches were one of her favorite things to eat. They were fun to make for me as they were for her to eat. Today I am sharing three sandwich recipes. They are perfect for breakfast, school lunch, or a snack between meals. They are for great for kids as well as for yourself. Add in the fact that they hardly take any effort to make! You can also watch the video for this recipe.
You can make these sandwiches on a ridged griddle or pan.
Strawberry Sandwich
Strawberry sandwich makes a great snack and loved by all kids. This is a simple sandwich, and the strawberries in it are quite refreshing. It’s sweet but no so much. It does not require a lot of ingredients. Though there can be variations, some things always remain the same: bread, strawberries and spread. White bread is always a popular choice if you can eat gluten. But there are not too many choices in gluten free breads. So use what you’ve got. To give a touch of sweetness to the sandwich, I added little bit honey. Toasting the bread in butter and then layering with cream cheese spread and sliced strawberries is magically delicious.
Spinach and Corn Sandwich
This healthy sandwich is a great way to include some leafy veggies. The filling is mildly spiced and can be made ahead and refrigerated. Whenever you need just spread the filling on bread slice, layer it with cheese and grill on a pan. Easy to pack for kids school lunch box or serve as a filling after school snack. Serve with a ketchup or tomato sauce or a dip of your choice.

I do love a sandwich! Nothing better really. They always used to vanish first at work morning teas. P.S. I know this is not any of my business but oh boy, I do find your posts and comments really really hard to read as the font is so so pale against the white page. I am now bending towards my laptop so i can read this. Cheers sherry

Hello Sherry,
Its good that you mentioned this. I changed the theme of the blog in 2021 and the dark color font did not suit with it. I’m sorry if you find difficulty reading. You might have to see this theme for another year or so 🙂
Have a good day!

These sandwiches are so beautiful! I love a good sandwich, but I hate to trouble myself to make them. My favorite of all that you have here (and it was not an easy decision) is the spinach and corn sandwich. I am definitely going to make that. It looks delicious!

I’m familiar with a cucumber sandwich but not the other two. I agree they’re healthy, tasty, and easy to make!
